Anonymous feedback you can reply to

Anonymous feedback you can reply to lets you ask what happened, clarify a suggestion, and share an update. TellSafe calls this Anonymous Relay: the submitter gives TellSafe an email address for replies, while that address stays hidden from the organizer.

For the person sending feedback

  1. Open the organization's public feedback link or scan its QR code. No organizer account is needed.
  2. Choose Anonymous Relay when available, select a category, write your message, and enter an email address to receive replies. Leave identifying details out of your message if you want to stay anonymous to organizers.
  3. Submit. TellSafe encrypts the relay email address before storing it and sends a confirmation email.
  4. When the organizer replies, read it in your email inbox. Reply directly to that email to continue the same conversation through TellSafe. Check for a personal email signature before sending.

For the organizer

  1. Share your feedback link or QR code with your community. Relay is available when the organization's effective plan supports it.
  2. Open the relay submission in the dashboard. Read the feedback and its categories, then ask a follow-up question or explain the next step.
  3. Send your reply in TellSafe. The service forwards it to the submitter's email; you do not need their email address.
  4. Read their response in the thread and continue from the dashboard. Share useful updates without asking the person to identify themselves.

What organizers can and cannot see

Organizers can read the feedback text, categories, submission mode, submission time, and messages in the conversation. Relay does not display the submitter's email address or require their name. TellSafe stores the relay address encrypted and decrypts it on the server when needed to deliver replies. This is anonymity from the organizer, not a promise that TellSafe never processes an email address or that message content cannot identify someone. Names, distinctive details, and email signatures in the message can reveal identity.

Choose whether you want a reply

Plain Anonymous mode does not ask for a name or email and cannot receive replies. Anonymous Relay needs an email address to deliver replies while hiding that address from the organizer. Identified mode shares the name and email you provide. Choose the mode that fits your concern.

Frequently asked questions

Can I reply to anonymous feedback without collecting the sender's email myself?

Yes, when the sender chooses Anonymous Relay. TellSafe handles the email delivery while keeping the relay address hidden from the organizer. Plain Anonymous submissions cannot receive replies.

Is the relay end-to-end encrypted?

The relay email address is encrypted at rest. TellSafe's server decrypts it to deliver replies, and organizers can read the conversation text. Do not treat the relay as end-to-end encryption of the conversation.

Which plans include anonymous replies?

Anonymous Relay is included in Community and Pro. Community: $4.99/month billed monthly, or $47.88/year billed annually ($3.99/month equivalent). Pro: $9.99/month billed monthly, or $95.88/year billed annually ($7.99/month equivalent). Free includes plain anonymous feedback, but not relay messaging. See pricing for current plan details.

Can the organizer work out who sent a message?

The relay hides the email address, but details in the message, timing, or a small group's context may identify someone. Avoid names, personal email signatures, and unnecessary identifying details.
